We had such a perfect day at Kindred Oaks in Georgetown, Texas. The ceremony featured our favorite Scripture passages (one read by one of my best friends, Shannon, and the other by our officiant, Scott Payne), as well as, a Unity Cross ceremony, and Communion between just the two of us. It was a perfect celebration of our unity in Christ as husband and wife.
I loved all the little details of the reception too! We had a cider and s'mores bar, some great dancing - our first dance was You're the Top from What's Up Doc?, and a wine box ceremony. The wine box was handmade by John's dad and was absolutely beautiful!
See the photos! October 23Here are a few silly shots of us waiting at the airport and on the plane. Let the honeymoon begin!

We felt so pampered at this resort! The room was incredibly luxurious with an absolutely perfect view of Lake Tahoe. It was right on the lakefront and within walking distance of the main town. We didn't want to leave!

One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever been on. We went early in the morning and were the only ones on the trail. It was only about 2 miles, but we took our time and savored the view. The inside of Vikingsholm castle was closed for tours for the season, but we got an excellent view of the outer details and the stunning Emerald Bay beach.
Thank you to
We stayed within walking distance of Golden Gate Park! Our first day in San Francisco was spent touring Alcatraz island and Pier 39 where we saw a cool street performer and ate some tasty food.
Thank you to
We biked across the Golden Gate Bridge! This was one of my favorite parts of our trip. The views were incredible the whole way across. Once we were at the viewing station on the other side, we turned right back around and cycled to Fort Point. That night we walked Lombard Street too. We got our workout in that day for sure!

We started our final day in San Francisco with one of the tastiest brunch places I have ever been to - Kitchen Story. Then we spent the day at the California Academy of Sciences museum and the nearby Japanese Tea Garden. We loved seeing the new exhibits - like the three-story rainforest and the Courtship Dance interactive game.
The Japanese Tea Garden is one of my favorite places to go in San Francisco, but John had never been! We tried Matcha tea and Matcha flavored ice cream at the tea house.
Thank you to
Rocking our matching tourist shirts (no shame) on the plane back to Texas before our drive to Kansas. Cody (John's Siberian husky) was very happy to finally have his daddy home.
Now back to reality to start our lives as a married couple!
